Sunil Beniwal has a distinguished and rapidly advancing litigation practice. A graduate of Gujarat National Law University (GNLU), Gandhinagar (B.Com. LL.B. (Hons.), 2021), Sunil has developed a strong reputation for handling complex, high-stakes constitutional and commercial matters.

His practice spans constitutional litigation, commercial disputes and regulatory litigation. He regularly appears in and conducts matters involving involving substantial questions of law and public importance.

Sunil’s professional foundation was significantly strengthened during his tenure as Law Clerk-cum-Research Associate to Hon’ble Mr. Justice Pankaj Mithal, Judge, Supreme Court of India. In this role, he assisted in complex constitutional, commercial, and civil matters, gaining first-hand exposure to judicial decision-making at the highest level. This experience has provided him with a nuanced understanding of Supreme Court practice, constitutional interpretation, and appellate strategy.

He presently serves as Panel Counsel for the Union of India before the Supreme Court of India, representing government departments in significant constitutional and statutory proceedings. His role involves advising on sensitive legal issues, settling pleadings, and advancing arguments in matters with far-reaching legal and policy implications.

Sunil advises and represents corporates, government entities, and individuals in strategically significant disputes, combining meticulous drafting, structured legal analysis, and confident courtroom advocacy. His approach is defined by precision, preparation, and a clear focus on achieving sustainable legal outcomes.
